Why do you need a Vocational Counselor?
The purpose of our vocational services is to help injured or ill workers get the most of their Supplemental Job Displacement Voucher and Return-To-Work Supplement.
The Workers Compensation Claim process can be challenging, but with a Vocational Counselor, the laborious work is placed in our hands. We will do the hard work for you! Injured workers may be entitled to a SJDB benefit of $6000 of which a partial amount may be reimbursed to injured worker and the rest to cover training.
Who Can use the SJDB voucher?
Injured workers and professionals. We provide advice and direction on career-related decisions to injured workers who can no longer continue in their field of occupation due to a work-related injury. We assist the injured worker to become capable of performing and obtaining skills and training that are necessary in the labor market. This will be useful in obtaining a promising employment and venture onto a new career path.
Vocational Services Include:
- Return to work documentation submission for reimbursements
- Return to Work Supplement Program processing
- Comprehensive vocational evaluation and assessment
- Identification of suitable vocational training
- Work directly with attorneys, insurance companies and schools.
- Support transition from school to career
What is a Return to Work Supplemental Program
Employees injured on or after January 1, 2013, who have received a voucher may also qualify for an additional one-time $5,000 payment, RTWSP, Return to Work Supplement Program.
